The Marlins Have Been Silent On Baseball Moves
by Larry Turner

It is wonderful when we can write about meaningful changes reported by our local teams; unfortunately, in the case of the Miami Marlins we cannot at this time because there is nothing substantive happening to communicate to our readers.

Other than signing players to minor league contracts, there is no real baseball news. On a broader perspective, however, the team did announce that it is moving to improve its popularity with the community by turning loanDepot park into a year-round destination for indoor-outdoor dining and entertainment in a newly designed West Plaza called Miami Live. The Marlins will partner with the real estate development entity, the Cordish Companies, to create this new destination for the fans and the entire surrounding area. No date has been provided for the expected completion of this exciting project.

Should roster news be released prior to publication of this issue, we will add the information to this brief article as a Post Script.
