Faena Theater has put a fresh spin on its avant-garde cabaret, “Allura,” with a new performance titled “Ascension.” New York singer Rocky Lanes stars as master of ceremonies, leading showgoers through a series of spicy vignettes with aerial acts, acrobats, killer live music and a hint of naughty antics. “Ascension” shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Jurassic Gardens In Fairchild

Fairchild Garden transforms into a prehistoric playground this summer. Explore the lush grounds where life-size dinosaurs hold court amid a collection of cycads, ferns, conifers and all sorts of flowering plants that date back to primitive times. Kiddos can get hands-on during the ancient artifact digs, egg hunts and more while learning all about what the world was like 65 million years ago.

Bust out your smoothest skate moves at the Fourth of July edition of Miami Beach Bandshell’s Roller Disco. Dust off your rollerblades or lace up some rentals (free for Miami Beach residents with ID). This event is open to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned skater or a curious spectator. Those who prefer to stay off skates can still enjoy the music and festivities from the Club Box Deck.

The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza in Las Olas Oceanside Park and on Fort Lauderdale Beach featuring live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities, and a dazzling fireworks display. The kids zone provides nonstop energy and excitement with plenty of music, inflatable water slides, face painting, and a variety of other amusing beach games. As the sun goes down, the celebration heats up with live music and entertainment. After the sun sets all eyes will turn toward the sky for the City’s spectacular 23-minute fireworks show on Fort Lauderdale Beach at 8:45 p.m. This dazzling pyrotechnic display is an annual favorite of children and adults of all ages

Get ready for a night of fun with family and friends as we honor Independence Day in style on Thursday, July 4th at 5:00 p.m. DJ Mike Cooley will will kick off the event at 5pm followed by live music from Pan Paradise at 5:30pm and then FM Band Miami at 7:00 p.m. The night will end with fireworks at approximately 9:00 p.m
